Brian Tully is a seasoned executive in the financial services sector with over 30 years of expertise guiding banks, credit unions, and wealth management firms through technology adoption and strategic growth. As Managing Partner at Digital Markets Group, Brian specializes in product design, growth strategies, and deal development, delivering innovative solutions that foster operational efficiency.

Brian’s early career began in banking, where he held leadership roles including Vice President of Cash Management at US Trust Bank and Assistant Vice President at First National Bank of Maryland. There, he developed deep expertise in treasury management, client communication, and business development.

At Promontory Interfinancial Network—where Brian held the role of Managing Director—he created and led the Broker/Dealer channel for the company’s core bank deposit swapping platform. His efforts resulted in hundreds of billions of dollars in deposit transactions processed through the platform, establishing Promontory as a market leader in deposit placement services amongst broker/dealers. He also maintained relationships with leading banks and non-bank financial institutions, and managed national client growth and strategic expansion.

A pivotal highlight of Brian’s career was his collaboration with R3, where he helped launch one of the first blockchain pilot programs for banks and regulators. This initiative enabled institutions to run blockchain nodes and perform interbank deposit swaps, positioning Brian at the forefront of distributed ledger technology innovation in regulated finance.

Brian most recently led product management at R&T Deposit Solutions, where he oversaw the launch of the Securities-Based Lending Loan Management System and built cross-functional teams dedicated to building scalable, bank deposit solutions. 

His consulting experience spans major financial institutions and startups, advancing technology across the U.S. and Europe.

Brian holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Syracuse University - Maxwell School, where he was a multi-time National Champion in Men's Lacrosse.
